As mentioned previously, the date has been set. And it feels oh so good. Seven, thirty-one, twenty-ten. It even sounds space age-y. I love it.I decided to look up July 31st on Wikipedia to see what else happened on that particular date in history. Turns out, on July 31st, Mark Antony achieved a minor victory over Octavian's forces, Harry Potter was fictionally born into the world, and Welsh poet Hedd Wynn was killed in Belgium while serving with the 15th Battalion.
Ok, ok, not that exciting. But you know what is exciting about July 31st???
Motha-effing Wesley Snipes' birthday. I'm not a fan of Snipes by any means, nor do I really care for any of his films (except for Major league in which he masterfully portrayed Willie Mays Hayes). But for some reason, this fact makes me laugh - to the point where I want to do a toast to Wesley at the wedding. Sounds weird, but that's exactly the kind of 'weird' I want to be present the day of our nuptials. I leave you with a pic of Mista Snipes in all his 80's beefcake glory.

If I were you, I'd invite Mr. Snipes; if not in jail for tax evasion, he just might show. He could wear his Blade costume and keep the vamps at bay. I like this blog!
