Katharine over at the uber fabulous Southern Weddings Blog sent me an email today informing me I had won their "Mega Giveaway" contest! Cue crazy-loud girly scream!! I mean, I already feel so lucky to have won my postcards, and now THIS! I'm feelin' the love on full blast right now, man. This is awesome.
The contest was simply this: You had to state in your comment post what type of bride you are: modern, vintage, classic, or relaxed - and WHY. Can you guess which one I said I was? Well, considering I'm taking the city bus to my own wedding, I think it's safe to assume I chose MODERN.
Southern Weddings blogged today about the four winners (one winner was chosen for each style of bride). This is the excerpt they wrote about me:
"The Modern Bride: Weddings don’t come more modern (or fun!) than Bowie Bride’s offbeat LA bash! A mixed wedding party (yes, men serving as bridesmaids and ladies standing up with the groomsmen), a civil ceremony officiated by a judge and city buses rather than limousines are only a few of the things that make this non-traditional affair super fun and totally mod."
I'm so touched! Let's just hope the actual wedding lives up to the description...ha. Oh yeah! You guys probably want to see what I won. My stuff is at the bottom right corner of the following photo:
Whoever picked these items out for each style of bride is a genius! I think each set is stunning, but of course, I'm partial to my pale pink, coral, and robin's egg blue palette. Those earrings are SO freaking unique, and I can't wait to test potential hairdos with those beautiful flowers. And did ya check out that hella fly bracelet 'o mine? It will be gorgeous flushed against my blinged out watch. My thanks again to Southern Weddings! I couldn't be more excited to wear these lovelies on the big day!
