I've Been Tagged!

A big thanks to Miss Tenille over at 9 Years in the Making for choosing me to receive this sweet little badge - The Kreativ Bloggers Award. Fun, fun, FUN.

To continue the tradition of the award, I am to write 7 facts about me and then pass the award on to seven other "Kreativ" bloggers!

Here goes!

1. I attended the Academy Awards in 2007. Got to walk the red carpet, the whole nine. I worked for the President of the Academy's production company for a year and he let me be an Oscars "seat filler." Meaning, when the presenters and winners go on stage, they need someone to fill their seat so that the audience doesn't look empty on camera. And guess where I was sitting at the end of the night...IN THE FRONT ROW, NEXT TO PENELOPE CRUZ - AS THEY ANNOUNCED BEST ACTRESS, BEST ACTOR, AND BEST PICTURE. I mean, holy balls, right? I'm not a star-f*cker or anything, but at one point in the night I was in the hall standing right next to Meryl Streep, Sacsha Baron Cohen, Jodie Foster, and Steve Carell as we waited to go back into the Kodak. It was then that I truly experienced the definition of "surreal."
2. I lived in San Francisco during the big quake of '89 - the one that occurred during the World Series. I lived there as a kid while my dad was in Dental school. The quake was a 7.0 and sadly happened on my sister's birthday. We were in a car when it happened, so we didn't feel the full impact. But still a very scary time indeed...
   
3. I'm a Speech and Debate National Champion.
   
4. I've been driving a stick shift car for ten years and I never want to go back to automatic. Too boring for this bitch.
5. I dressed up as Arwen to go see the Lord of the Rings movies. Like, went-all-out dressed up. I came in second place at the costume contest...damn you, Galadriel!
6. My two favorite things in the world to watch are "The Big Lebowski" and The Talking Heads' Live Concert DVD, "Stop Making Sense." I'll happily watch that shiz anywhere, anytime.
7. I LOVE live music. Some noteable (and a few semi-embarassing) concerts I've been too: Pearl Jam (x4), Yes (x4), DMB (x3), Aerosmith (x2), OAR (x3), Phil Collins (x2), Genesis, Radiohead, Weird Al (yes, you read right), Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Reel Big Fish, The Who, Foo Fighters (x2), RHCP, Weezer (x2), Bette Midler (ha), Cold War Kids (x2), Tenacious D, No Doubt, and the flyboys of NSYNC (ahh yeah, boyeee).
