I got my reception dress in the mail the other day... The good news is that I really do like it. It fits well, I feel good in it, blah blah blah... As for the bad news, I think I'm going to return it. There's just something not quite right about it. For the price I paid, I thought I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it. But I only just like it I think. So needless to say I'm experiencing some buyer's guilt. BUT, I have decided on an alternative. I think I'll be able to dance better in the dress if it's short and flares out. I found a few examples of what I'm looking for. The peach colored dress and the striped top dress I found on Etsy and they can custom make them. The dress in the black and white pic, was handmade by a designer in Australia, so clearly I won't be able to obtain the same one. So, I hopped on Etsy's alchemy page and posted this. For those who don't know, Etsy Alchemy is a place where "buyers can post requests for custom handmade items, and then sellers bid on the opportunity to make the goods." Cool, right? I already have 3 bids!! I
plan to use this system a few more times as we get closer to the wedding.
If you know anyone who can make a dress like the ones in this post, LET ME KNOW. I'm looking to spend absolutely no more than $300. If I can get it for under $200, even better!(image)

good call- if you don't love it, return it. you don't want to be looking back at photos in ten years thinking, "coulda woulda shoulda."
