Total Kick-ass-ery Going On This Weekend

Alright, kids. Mama's excited.

I've got a special lady coming into town this weekend just for little old me. Who, you ask? Well, none other than my mega-fly and always fabulous best gal pal Anne, aka Annie-bo-nanny, aka Mama Griddle, aka HOT STICK OF SEXXX (three x's intentional).

I told her that I really wanted a chance to go out in downtown LA to check out a potential hotel for the guests to stay at, the Standard Hotel, and a few potential rehearsal dinner/after party locations. The next thing I knew, she was already getting the plan in motion. We're always looking for excuses to visit each other, so this one was ripe for the taking! We have a room at the Standard Saturday night, and I'm working on dinner reservations at The Edison - a speakeasy themed jazz place. After dinner, I wanted to check out the following bars: The Must, Cork Bar, Library Bar, Seven Grand, and The Varnish. Then we'll finish off the night like the ultra hip badasses we are with a trip to The Rooftop Bar at the Standard. Actually, we may not be hip enough for this place... BUT I do know that when Anne and I are together, the sky's the limit. So we'll just adopt some slick aliases like "Ginger Malloy" and "Willow Marx"and walk in there like we own the joint. Ahh, hells yeah.

I'll leave you with a little gem taken at Anne's wedding. That's me on the ground busting a SERIOUS move. I kinda, sorta, ripped my bridesmaid dress in the process... But oh so worth it. Did I not tell you guys I like to dance full hog? Oh, and Mike is the red head standing in the back laughing at me. Yeah. I'd laugh at me too.

Oh, and if you guys have any other suggestions for cool places downtown, I would LOVE to hear them.
