"Come Eff me heels" is hands down one of my favorite Samantha phrases from Sex and the City. Which kinda got me thinking. Just how sexy are y'all going on the shoes? Cuz I like me some sexy shoes, but what does everyone consider to be "TOO SEXXXY" for a bride to wear on the big day - especially if she's wearing a short dress?I'm of the opinion that ANYTHING GOES on your wedding day, but I've seen me some shoes that distinctly give off the, "I've banged your husband" vibe. I'd like to avoid giving off that vibe on my wedding day quite frankly, but I also know that I don't want to give up on wearing my fave - 4 inch platform heels.
I wanted to get some opinions on this. So I'm going to show you some shoes, and you guys tell me the ones you think are NOT "appropriate" to wear on your wedding day. A couple of which I maaaaay or may not be considering wearing...so I need some honest opinions here.

ReplyDeleteI would steer clear (no pun intended) of anything with a lucite heel. Nothing screams lady of the night more than 6 inch plastic platforms. Same goes with those gold shiny heels. I LOOOOVE the pink ruffles. Also good - gold sequins, silver glitter, blue sparklies.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the stance on lucite that Emilia Jane took. Other than that, go for it. It's your wedding and you can wear eff' me shoes if you damn well please!
ReplyDeleteDitto on the lucite! I think all of them, except for number 1, is fine! Also, you don't know how the shoes will look like until you wear them with the shoes...so you never know.
ReplyDeleteIts funny--I didn't really notice the lucite on the first because I LOVED the rest of the shoe--but then again, I am a sucker for a red shoe! Where whatever you want!! They all rock!

ReplyDeleteAnything except number 1 - I am coveting all the rest. (Sparkles! flowers! color! ruffles! yay!) I would also probably cut number 5 because it seems more precarious (and therefore less dancable. Although 4in heels are never exactly dancable)

ReplyDeleteThey all inspire shoe envy and you should wear the ones that look best with your other accessories. As long as your dress isn't down to your nipples or up to your booty, I think slutty shoes are fierce
