oh for god sake... i found this posting bc i was looking to feel better after making an ass out of myself at my wedding.

I drank champagne all afternoon so the ceremony was a 3. however, i got emotional at the church and... when i had a shot of brandy to loosen me up at the reception followed by another, i hit a 7/8.

All my photographs at the reception should be burned. Not only did i look drunk in my most of my photographs, my hair was a mess and i had cried off my make-up during my maid of honor's speech.

i spent 5 weeks feverishly planning a wedding... only to feel awful for drinking during the reception and being so emotional. its almost a year since my wedding... i still dont feel any better. i would love to do it all over w.out the liquor.

moral of the story, dont drink. pop a xanex instead.

I figure pre-ceremony while I'm drink mimosas, I'll probably be about a 4. At the reception I'll probably get up to a 6. But I love me some dancing, and, to be honest, I can't dance when I'm drunk. So a good strong buzz is what I'm shooting for. If I was drunk I'd just fall down on the dance floor. And maybe I'll get up to an 8 or 9 for the private after party, ie. party of two.

I told you on Twitter that I wouldn't get very loaded, but I should qualify: I still intend to drink, and I'll probably get drunk. But I won't get so drunk that I can't recover before I fall asleep. It has nothing to do with class and everything to do with how much of a bitch I'm going to be when we're driving up to Sonoma the next day... I'm with Miss Fancy pants. I was at a 0 at my wedding because I don't drink anymore. I'm also blaming it on age.

But I think the hubs at our wedding was probably at a 4 - 5. He had started at 11:00 am because where the guys took their pictures at was at a brewery. But I must say, it was fun dealing with all of my drunk friends and taking pictures with them. I mos def laughed my ass off a TON.

I'm going for a consistent tipsy-happy at 5/6 (probably 1 glass of white wine per hour/45 min and that glass won't leave my hand) But I'm with Dana. First of all, those pics are amazing and I think we'd have one helluva good time if we were at the same dance party. We're a special breed, yes we are.

So I've thought a lot about how much I plan to drink at my wedding and I've come to the conclusion that I just can't drink as much as I'd like. For one thing, I get incredibly bad hangovers. This wouldn't matter if the Sunday after the wedding were just a lounge-around day, but we're not doing that. We're getting on a plane at SIX THIRTY in the EFFING MORNING (sorry about the shouting...I'm not happy about this) to leave for our honeymoon. My ass cannot handle being hungover on a plane all damn day. Can't do it.

Having said all that, sober me and drunk me are eerily similar. I have a good time no matter my level of drunkenness (and I have the pictures to prove it). So I'm going to say that I'll probably be around a 4-5? Maybe I'll get REALLY drunk during dinner and then taper off the rest of the night. Or maybe I'll be eating my words and need to be carried out of the reception. Oy.
