I cannot wait to see what your BM's end up wearing :) I am not being super demanding of my girls at all. I picked out a dress for them, they didn't like it at all. I told them to pick out something they liked. They came up with 2 options for each to choose from. I took my 6th girl in to try the 2 options on, she and my daughter hated them both...we changed them again. They picked out the dresses...they are all matching knee length chiffon dresses. My daughter is in a different color than the other 5 girls (she is special after all)...and my daughter and cousin both have different dresses than the other 4 girls, though they are all very very similar. I really am not making a big deal out of it. The only issue I had was when my sister (MOH) asked if she could wear a headband on the big day. I asked her if it was going to be a tiara type headband and what color. She said just a simple black or silver headband...I said go for it. That was about as Bridezillish as I have gotten on them thus far :) I think you're going to make them very happy if you continue on this path.

omg. i sent a very similar email to my bridesmaids and they got mad at me. i'm like let me eliminate the crazy from this situation and wear whatever you want and one got so frustrated she "took her email off cc" and told me that i was being annoying and that pictures would look worse for it. umm really? a) pictures will look good because everyone's having an awesome time and b) how many freaking pictures of them am i really going to want around my house? anyway,i feel you. also, getting married the same day as you. weird!

My sister would show up in her early 90's finest (and it's just not ironic, it's not) if I sent her this email. Alas- I'm gonna be mean and dictate just how awesome my ladies look! I was in a few wedding parties and attended at least a dozen weddings and the idea of having to pay for a very particular dress for someone else's party started to bug me. So we paid for the dresses and if my girls wear it again, cool.

Bridesmaids are our special girls. I was super stressed a few days before so there was no b party but loved sitting down with my favorite girls for dinner.

They'll look awesome and have an awesome time as I'm sure you will too.

If I sent this e-mail to my older sisters (they are both bridesmaids) they would feel lost. They are mousy mouse all the way.

Very cool that you are letting them pick their own dresses. I couldn't do that, for mousy mouse reasons. I hate the way they dress. (oooooooooh, I am evil.)

I let them pick the style (strapless, halter, etc) however, and I brought the dresses so I reason its fair. Not as fair as your method, but I am only so nice ;)

Final note: I want to be Andrea. Who doesn't want to wear a cute LBD?
